I am an assistant professor in the Data Science department at EURECOM.
Before this, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher first, and later a Visiting Professor, at EPFL, and a Visiting Researcher at Microsoft Research, Cambridge. I got my Ph.D designing and developing the Loris storage stack for the MINIX 3 Operating System under the guidance of the one and only Prof. Andy Tanenbaum. I have a dual Masters in Computer Engineering and Ag-Bio Engineering from University of Florida, Gainesville (Go Gators!).
I am currently working on several problems at the intersection of Computer Science and Biology, like storing digital data on DNA, or developing scalable data processing pipelines for making genomics-driven precision medicine cost effective.
